For economic reasons it is increasingly popular to start a sunflower oil plant for sunflower oil processing to make cheap sunflower seeds into more valuable and healthy sunflower oils. The sunflower is a distinctive, flowering plant (Helianthus annuus L.), the seeds of which contain a valuable edible oil that contains more Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil. 5. Processing Description of Cottonseed Oil Processing Machine Cleaning: Windowing system is used to remove the impurity from cottonseed, such stone, irons etc
Dehuilling : As usual, It needs to remove the cottonseed shells, It will be good for futher processing.
Cracking: Breaker roll or a swinging hammer grinder or a combination of both then breaks the kernel into small fragments. This increases the surface area of the kernels, thus facilitating flaking.
Flaking: The kernel fragments are then subjected to flaking in a roller mill. The thickness of the kernel cakes are subsequently reduced as they travel from the top roller to the bottom. This progressive rolling initiates the rupturing of cell walls.
Cooking: Adjust the moisture content of the meal to an optimum level ;Rupture cell walls (initiated by roiling) ;Ensure that the action of the enzymes that increases the free fatty acids (FFA) of the oil is stopped i.e. Reduces viscosity of the oil; Coagulate the protein in the meal to to facilitate the separation of oil from protein materials.
