Dual counter-rotating shafts with unique intermeshing hollow wedge-shaped paddles produce intimate mixing, optimize heat transfer, and provide a self-cleaning feature. A large heat transfer area to volume ratio is achieved by the use of hollow paddles and a jacketed vessel, through which the heating medium flows. The result is an efficient, compact machine with less space requirements and lower installation cost.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Hollow Paddle Dryer has a metal wall which separates the process mass from the heat source (steam or hot oil). High thermal efficiency is obtained because the heat from the thermal medium goes directly into the process mass. As the material comes into contact with the heated through and agitators, the process mass is heated via conduction. With an insulated dryer, very little heat is lost. To evaporate 1kg of water only requires about 1.2kg of steam for slurry materials. Exhaust gas is minimal and at a low temperature. Therefore, the volume of non-condensable gas from the dryer, which might require treatment, is minimal.

HEAT SOURCES(Temperature at 180ºC - 250ºC)

Heating by Steam

Steam enters the hollow shaft through a rotary joint and is evenly distributed to all paddles. Condensate is removed with each revolution.

Heating by Hot Oil(thermal fluid)

Hot oil(thermal fluid) enters and exits the hollow shaft through a rotary joint. Pressure from the supply pump forces liquid through the hollow paddles.

Advanced Technology Sewage Sludge Dryer are continuous cross-flow drying equipment for large-scale production of low drying rate materials. The equipment is designed with a compact structure which required small installation area.

The raw material can be spread on the conveyor belt through suitable mechanism such as star distributor, vibrating belt, grinder or granulator. The conveyor belt will pass the channel that consist one or several drying units. Each drying unit is equipped with air heating and circulating system, and each drying unit has one or several dehumidification system. The hot air will move up and down when the Advanced Technology Sewage Sludge Dryer passes though.
AAA2
The material is distributed to the mesh belt evenly by the feeder. The size of stainless steel mesh is 12-16mm mesh. The transmission device will moves the mesh belt around the dryer. The dryer consist a several drying units and each unit has individual hot air circulation system. Part of the exhausted gas is exhausted by an exhaust fan. The waste gas is controlled by an adjusting valve. The hot air will move up and down when the material moving from the top layer to the bottom layer. This process will evaporate the water from the material when the mesh belt moves slowly. The running speed of the conveyer belt can be adjusted according to the material property. The dried material will be automatically discharged to a collector. The circulation units can be equipped according to the user’s requirement and the production demands.
